To provide easy access to the largest Internet Exchange in the Northeast, NetActuate announces a new partnership with NYIIX.

NetActuate announces today that it has joined the New York International Internet Exchange (NYIIX) as a reseller partner. Operated by Telehouse America, the NYIIX streamlines connectivity using state-of-the-art, scalable peering infrastructure. To meet strong market demands for 100G ports, NYIIX has recently upgraded its Centillion platform to Centillion II.

Through NetActuate’s partnership with NYIIX, small- and medium-sized networks can now easily and affordably extend their reach. In addition to using NetActuate’s BGP anycast platform, clients can now connect directly to NYIIX and establish peering directly with all connected NYIIX members, without having to plan for and invest in physical infrastructure.

Businesses in London, Hong Kong or Los Angeles that need connectivity to New York can easily provision access and deliver ports to NetActuate’s suite of services, including private and multi-tenant cloud, bare metal servers, colocation, BGP anycast and SDN.

“We are excited to offer our clients streamlined, reliable and stable connectivity to the largest and most active peering exchange in the Northeast,” said Mark Price, President of NetActuate. “This partnership is an essential piece of our overall growth strategy in the United States.”

“Having NetActuate onboard as a reseller signifies the ongoing evolution of the New York peering market and our commitment to building our communities’ awareness and education on peering through resellers,” adds Akio Sugeno, Vice President of Internet Engineering, Operations and Business Development for Telehouse.

Operated by Telehouse, a global leader for data centers, international internet exchanges and managed IT services, the NYIIX was founded in 1996. It is one of the largest public peering exchange points on the U.S. East Coast with seven locations, including 85 Tenth Avenue, 7 Teleport Drive, 60 Hudson, 1118th Avenue and 32 Avenue of Americas. In New Jersey, NYIIX has two locations, 165 Halsey in Newark, and 2 Emerson Lane in Secaucus.
