Meet NetActuate at All Things Open 2025

After a several year hiatus, NetActuate is pleased to announce that we’ll be participating at All Things Open in Raleigh, NC, Oct 13-14, 2025 a Gold Sponsor. As a Raleigh based company with a major Data Center/NOC in Durham, we’re excited to help grow,  support, and engage with the Open Source Software (OSS) community right here in our own backyard! Send an email to info@netactuate.com to schedule a time to meet up.

Open Source Community Support

Open source is at the core of what we do and we take an “open source first” approach when developing software—including our onboarding playbooks for Ansible, Chef, Open Tofu, Terraform, and other non-proprietary platforms. This helps to lower switching costs, avoid vendor lock-in, and develop technology agnostic platforms for customers.

NetActuate is also a proud supporter of the communities and projects that the Internet relies on like CPAN, FreeBSD, Gentoo Linux, Taubyte, and Varnish Cache. We’re also believers in an equal internet and offer free Anycast DNS services to emerging country code Top Level Domains (ccTLDs).

to the We Love Open Source community, All Things Open RT Meetup Group, and Open Source South Carolina Meetup Group. We’re also active participants in the local Triangle Linux User Group and gave a presentation at the June 12th event on the evolution of the SysAdmin role into DevOps.

Booth #49: Dial-up to DevOps

Visit NetActuate in Booth 49

Working with vintage infrastructure brings hard lessons, unexpected wins, and respect for the engineering that came before us. We’re excited to partner with The Serial Port — a virtual museum that highlights technology from years gone by — to create a “1990s Internet Experience” with a hands-on, dial-up demo on a vintage PC and a Cobalt RaQ web server appliance! Swing by for a demo and an “I dialed into the Internet today” sticker.

We’ll then zoom to today with demos using our full-service customer portal showcasing Devops and Anycast workflows on our global network.

Speaking Slots

Open source-powered and developer-first AI stack

Track: Case Study / Demo

Date/Time: TBD

Room: 306A or B

Speakers: Yann Léger, CEO, Koyeb; Greg Wallace, Director of Partnerships, NetActuate

Enterprise technology leaders are saying no to many worthy AI projects because of the punishing cost of hyperscaler AI tokens. At the same time, developers lack choice and control.

Just as it has for the past 40 years, Open Source and Open Standards are now bringing choice, control, and affordability to AI.

Yann Léger, CEO of Koyeb, a next-generation serverless cloud for developers, and Greg Wallace, Director of Partnerships at NetActuate, will detail and demo how this stack is democratizing AI and putting the power back in developer’s hands.

The stack is built on Tenstorrent’s open-source ecosystem and RISC-V-based WormholeTM acceleration cards. These powerful, customizable, and affordable cards, and Tenstorrent’s open source TT-NN and TT-Metalium SDKs, put developers in control.

Koyeb provides the serverless platform so developers can instantly access Tenstorrent hardware.

Koyeb and Tenstorrent run this developer-first AI stack on NetActuate’s infrastructure for always on, always fast, and custom-built connectivity.

OSS at the Network Edge: Automating DCIM for Accuracy and Speed

Track: Hardware / IoT

Date/Time: Monday, Oct 13, 3:45 EST

Room: 301B

Speaker: Craig Jackson, Devops Support Engineer, NetActuate

Edge computing requires a physical footprint at the network edge in multiple locations. Maintaining configurations and inventory tracking for various Points of Presence (PoPs), spread out over a global footprint, with a mixed infrastructure environment –- such as colocation, bare metal, and VMs -- is no simple task.

Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) is an industry standard approach and very helpful for configuration but is also prone to human error which slows down deployments. In this talk, we'll show how to automate for DCIM and IP Address Management (IPAM) using Open Source Software (OSS) tooling, extend capabilities with additional plugins, and marshal data through the various APIs. We'll demo this using Snipe-IT to extend Netbox's inventory tracking and BGP Session controls.

By increasing automation and decreasing manual tasks in DCIM, administrators can accelerate global deployments to the network edge.

Careers

NetActuate currently has several open positions and we will have our NetActuate recruiter on site to meet with applicants. Please stop by the booth on Monday or Tuesday from 1:45 - 4:45 to meet with Allyson May (ally@netactuate.com).
