Funkwhale
Self-hosted, federated music streaming with a web player and Subsonic apps.
Funkwhale is a self-hosted audio and music streaming server. Upload your music and audio, organize it into libraries, channels and playlists, and stream it from a modern web player or any Subsonic-compatible mobile and desktop app. Funkwhale also speaks ActivityPub, so instances can federate: you can follow and share libraries and channels across the fediverse. It is completely free software.
Deployed from the NetActuate marketplace it boots ready on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS from the official public Funkwhale containers (funkwhale/api and funkwhale/front) with PostgreSQL and Redis, wired together by docker-compose. There is no license and no key: a superuser account is created at first boot from the username and email you seed and a password the platform generates for you. The web UI, the REST API and the Subsonic-compatible API are served on port 80.
Upstream project: Funkwhale (https://funkwhale.audio, source at https://dev.funkwhale.audio/funkwhale/funkwhale), an independent open source project released under the GNU AGPLv3 by the Funkwhale collective. Funkwhale is not affiliated with or endorsed by NetActuate; NetActuate packages the unmodified upstream 1.4.0 release containers.
