MediaMTX (formerly rtsp-simple-server) is a lightweight, ready-to-use media server and proxy that lets you read, publish, proxy, record, and play back live video and audio across many protocols from one small binary. It is built for simplicity and speed: point cameras or encoders at it, and consumers can pull the same stream over RTSP, RTMP, HLS, WebRTC, or SRT, with a built-in browser playback page served on port 8888.
