Nimble Streamer is Softvelum's lightweight, high-performance edge media server and live repackager. It ingests RTMP, RTSP, MPEG-TS, SRT, RIST and HLS and delivers HLS, MPEG-DASH, MPEG-TS, Icecast and WebRTC (WHEP), with a tiny memory and CPU footprint that makes it a natural per-PoP cache, origin and repackager. Deployed from the NetActuate marketplace it boots configured from your seeded values and registers itself with your WMSPanel account, so it is ready to serve minutes after first boot in any of NetActuate's PoPs.
This appliance wraps the official public Nimble Streamer package (nimblestreamer.com) on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. Rules, routing and statistics are managed centrally from the WMSPanel cloud control service. NETINT VPU hardware transcode is an optional platform advantage where available.
BYOL: Nimble Streamer 4.x must be registered with a WMSPanel account before it serves. Bring your WMSPanel account (sign up at wmspanel.com), supply it at deploy, and the appliance registers on first boot. The account password is delivered through the platform secret pipeline and never appears in any API response.
