OpenVidu Pro
Self-hosted WebRTC videoconferencing with recording and Inspector (BYOL).
OpenVidu Pro is a complete, self-hosted platform to add real-time video, audio and data to your applications, built on WebRTC. This appliance packages the official on-premises OpenVidu Pro 2.31.0 deployment (OpenVidu Server Pro, coturn, the nginx TLS proxy and the OpenVidu Call reference app) as a single NetActuate VM, brought up from the official OpenVidu docker-compose at first boot. Deploy it in any NetActuate PoP and you have a private, license-activated videoconferencing backend minutes after first boot.
Key features
- Full WebRTC media server platform: multiparty sessions, screen sharing, recording and the OpenVidu Inspector monitoring console
- The OpenVidu Call videoconference app served out of the box over TLS
- REST API and client SDKs (JavaScript, Angular, React, Java, Node) for building your own real-time apps
- coturn TURN/STUN bundled for reliable connectivity behind NATs and firewalls
- Self-signed TLS out of the box (bring your own certificate or Let's Encrypt by editing /opt/openvidu/.env)
- Optional Elasticsearch and Kibana analytics (disabled by default for the single-VM footprint)
Bring your own license (BYOL) OpenVidu Pro is a commercial product. Seed your OpenVidu Pro license at deploy (a 15-day free trial is available at https://openvidu.io/account). OpenVidu Server Pro validates the license at startup; a generated dashboard secret secures the Inspector, the REST API and the app.
Why run it on the NetActuate edge Run your own private videoconferencing backend close to your users across NetActuate's global footprint, with no per-minute SaaS fees and full control of your media and recordings. NetActuate operates the VM and network; OpenVidu provides the platform software and your license.
OpenVidu is a product of its authors. NetActuate packages and distributes the official OpenVidu Pro on-premises deployment and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the OpenVidu project.
