Red5 Pro is Red5's commercial real-time media server, built for sub-500 millisecond WebRTC live streaming at scale. It ingests WebRTC, RTMP, RTSP and SRT and delivers WebRTC and HLS, with server-side clustering, mixing and a full REST API for building interactive, low-latency experiences (live auctions, betting, second-screen, conferencing and large-scale broadcast). Deployed from the NetActuate marketplace it boots configured from your seeded values and is ready to serve minutes after first boot in any of NetActuate's PoPs.
This appliance wraps the official public Red5 Pro server Docker image (red5pro/server) on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. The admin and webapps console is served on port 5080; the REST API is protected by a generated access token. NETINT VPU hardware transcode is an optional platform advantage where available.
BYOL: Red5 Pro is commercial software and requires a valid Red5 Pro license to serve. Bring your license key (get one at https://account.red5.net/), supply it at deploy, and the appliance applies it on first boot. The license and the API token are delivered through the platform secret pipeline and never appear in any API response. NetActuate is not affiliated with or endorsed by Red5 Pro.
