Requesting a Cloud VLAN
This guide covers how to request a NetActuate Cloud VLAN and what information to include so the networking team can provision it correctly.
Gather Requirements
Before opening a request, collect:
- The locations where the VLAN should be delivered
- The resources or services that should connect to it
- Whether you need a new VLAN or an existing VLAN extended to another service or location
- Any bandwidth, redundancy, routing, or handoff requirements
Submit the Request
- Contact your account manager or open a support ticket.
- Describe the connectivity you need and include the requirements above.
- If the VLAN is part of a larger design, include the related services such as VMs, colocation, cloud routing, or private connectivity.
- The NetActuate team will review the request, confirm the design, and provision the VLAN.
Provisioning and Validation
After provisioning, NetActuate will provide the details you need for the service, such as:
- The VLAN identifier
- The locations or services attached
- Any handoff or network configuration details needed on your side
Note: Cloud VLANs are provisioned by NetActuate. They are not exposed as self-service portal controls.
